Prudential Ride 100 · 30 July 2017

1 in 100 people have coeliac disease, yet only 36% are diagnosed. Coeliac UK empowers everyone affected, breaking down barriers, improving everyday life, offering trusted support and advancing research towards a cure. And we do it all so that one day, no one’s life will be limited by gluten.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Ten years ago I was diagnosed as having Coeliac disease.
Coeliac disease is a lifelong autoimmune disease caused by intolerance to gluten. Currently there is no cure.

1 in 100 people have Coeliac disease in the UK and estimates
are that 500,000 people are undiagnosed. My youngest son Lucas is going through the process now to see if he is a Coeliac.

On 1st January this year I decided to raise money for the Coeliac Society www.coeliac.org.uk who support those with the disease as well as funding research into the disease.

This year Nicky together with Richard and Jim will complete this endurance test.
