Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running my 6th marathon this year in memory of a great man, a local legend and someone I had the honour of calling my friend.  Mark sadly lost his brave battle against Motor Neurone Disease in June last year.

His memorial service spoke volumes with standing room only as hundreds of family, friends and former team mates paid their repsects to the true gentleman.  Mark was best known to me as a star striker for Ashford Town in the 1990's when he scored 128 goals, including a memorable double at Fulham in the FA Cup.

Everyone loved Stano and I just wanted to do something to show my support to him and his family.  The pain of training and running a marathon pails in significance to what Mark suffered.  Please help me raise money for such a great charity that does so much to assist the families in these awful situations.
