In January this year my friend, colleague and manager Helena lost her husband Flo (Lawrence) to cancer. 

Earlier this year I was unwell, not with cancer but nevertheless not very pleasant. Helena, in spite of the pain and sadness of losing her beloved husband supported and guided me through a most difficult time.

This appeal for Macmillan is my opportunity to pay tribute and say thank you to Helena and is dedicated to the memory of her husband Flo.

I hope that you can help me to help Macmillan continue to support those whose lives are affected by this distressing and frightening condition.
