Tim's Virtual London (Birmingham) Marathon

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
Update August 19th 2020:
Apologies for the lack of an update, but now VLM have made a decision on how they plan to stage a 'mass participation marathon' in these strange times, I can finally share (with caution) the proposed plan!
Sadly... there will not be a 'London' Marathon this year, but all those who intended to run (including me) can still complete 26.2 miles on October 4th 2020 and receive a 40th London Marathon Medal! yey!
The inaugural Birmingham/Small Heath/Sheldon Marathon 2020.
Needless to say, my training has been sporadic at best over the last 5 months! but I am still training, ready to tackle a new route (to be defined) on October 4th.
The good news is - all the charities who rely so heavily on donations will now receive the millions of ££s raised on their behalf.
If you would like to donate to my chosen Charity, WeLoveCarers it would be hugely appreciated.
Original update:
Hi, 'm lucky to be running the London Marathon on Sunday April 26th 2020 and will be raising money for www.WeLoveCarers.org
WeLoveCarers is an independent charity run by carers for carers.
Their aims are to provide information, guidance and support to carers of both adults and children with a vast array of disabilities.
Carers are often overlooked, especially those caring for a family member. They work hard to care for, protect and to fight for the services that the child or adult are not able to do themselves.
WeLoveCarers provide valuable support to carers, providing holiday clubs and play-schemes for disabled children, giving the parent carer much needed respite whilst also giving the children a fantastic fun experience in a safe environment.
The charity receives no funding from the government or local authority.
Thanks,
Tim.
