When Mum passed away with cancer, towards the end we received the help and support of the local Marie Curie nurses. Thanks to their care and understanding Mum was able to spend her last months at home with the dignity and grace that she lived her life with, surrounded by family and loved ones. However their support was not limited to Mum - whilst caring for her they spent time with us as well explaining everything and just being the rock that we all needed at that time.

Without them, the whole experience would have changed and I am forever in their debt for everything they did for us. If, by doing this event and with the money raised another family can benefit from their kindness then a tiny portion of that debt will be re-paid.
