Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself and my running guide,Steve, are training for the St. Albans Half Marathon on Sunday 9th June. Steve is a volunteer who was provided for me by Fiona Musgrove from Four Swans Vision (http://www.fourswansvision.webs.com/).

We are raising money for the local charity Herts Society for the Blind. HSB can put it to good use I'm sure!

Steve & I train together every Saturday morning and we're joined sometimes by another guide runner Tom. I also doing some mid-week training with my friend Charlotte Gainer.

It’s really exciting having this opportunity to run the St. Albans race. Finding a consistent running partner has been a challenge, since I ran the WGC race in 2009 with my pal Suzina Blackman.

This is a massive personal challenge for me so intend to train hard for it! Running is a terrific thing to be involved in and I hope me and Steve might encourage more blind and partially sighted people to try it out.

Regards
