Story

On January 28th 2022 my amazing mother Tina Bailey was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. This is a horrible disease which attacks our motor neurones. At this time there is no cure and a diagnosis is terminal. My mum has done so much for me in my life and I will not sit tight and let this disease run it’s cause. I will fight for my mum and for all others out there in the same situation as myself. This disease not only harms the person it directly effects but damages an entire family and group of friends.

Therefore I want to raise as much money as I can for the MND association in the fight against this disease. More research is needed to ensure that we can start to treat people with this horrendous terminal illness. Therefore one of my stops on this warpath is to run my first London Marathon in April 2024. Any help at all is greatly appreciated and any donation goes a long way.

It is with the deepest sadness that my mum Tina Bailey lost her battle with MND on 22nd March 2024. 2 years and 2 months after her diagnosis. We will all miss you so much. You were the strongest person I have ever met all the way up to the very end. I will miss you so incredibly much, my mum and my best friend.
We need to do everything in our power to fight this terrible heart-breaking disease. I can’t wait to make you proud running the London Marathon this year which would have been on your 58th birthday. I know now you will be able to watch and be with me all the way round. I love you so much, but now it’s time to rest after all the fighting. ❤️🙏🏻
