For several years I have been involved in running a CPD course for Tanzanian physiotherapists in Dar Es Salaam.

Looking to the future of CPD for Tanzanian physiotherapists we are keen to support physios in their own further development. One young physiotherapist Abdallah Makalla has had a provisional place for a two year MSc in physiotherapy at the University of Western Cape (UWC) in South Africa – for the last three years that I have known him, he has been unable to take up this place due to lack of funding. I am appealing for help for his course fees and accommodation.   Abdallah is committed to remain in Tanzania following his graduation and is keen to teach physiotherapy in the future.  Abdallah was chosen to support the Tanzanian Olympic team in 2012GB.

Abdallah has passed his first year exams and is now about to start his final year. We have raised enough money for his fees and accommodation for the year but he will need living and travel expenses so any more help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
