Hi, I'm Tina.  I grew up with two parents in the mental health field, dedicating their lives in particular to youth and adolescent mental heath care.  This has always been a topic near and dear to my heart and a cause I strongly support.  As such, this year I am endeavoring to trek 100km in 5 days across Ecuador's Andean Volcano region to promote and raise money for the Child Mind Institute. This particular charity is important to me because it helps support children and families struggling with mental illness and learning disorders. Half of all mental illness occurs before the age of 14, with 75% by age 24. It is important to understand, diagnose and treat early to help these children reach their full potential.
