Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is my first Half Marathon and I must admit I am quite nervous at the prospect of running 13.1 miles, but I am determined to finish even if I limp my way to the finish line as I want to raise money for such an amazing organisation with children as a priority.

What is the Windsor half Marathon

It will consist of one small lap of approximately 4 miles & a second large lap of approximately 7.5 miles with the start & finish of 1.5 miles on the Long Walk as in previous years.

SOS Children

At SOS Children, they believe all children should belong to a family which is why they look after children who have lost their parents through war, famine, disease or poverty.

For nearly sixty years, SOS Children has developed an approach based on building a community for children who have nobody to turn to. Traditionally, they provide children with a home, a family and a new mother in a purpose-built local Village, where they can stay until they are ready for independent life. They currently run 518 of these unique SOS Children’s Villages, and 392 Youth Homes, caring directly for more than 78,000 children in 125 countries worldwide.
