We are running the Edinburgh Half Marathon to raise money for MS Society Scotland. Over 130,000 people in the UK are currently living with Multiple Sclerosis. It is three times more likely to affect women than men. MS Society are dedicated to stopping MS and are currently looking to reach a £100 million target by 2025. The charity play a leading role in MS research and last year they launched 11 research projects, including an investigation into the causes of nerve damage in progressive MS. Funding for this charity primarily goes towards researching the disease, mainly for expensive MRI scanning, but also helps supports those living with MS.
