There are lots of easy ways you can raise money to keep children safe from abuse. Across the UK, thousands of our supporters are baking, quizzing, snacking or dancing for charity - and you can too!

Story

On the 11th June I will be joining an extended #TeamTLC and taking part in the NSPCC’s Childhood Day Challenge. As a team we are looking to cover 453 miles, one mile for every day Childline has been open and supporting young people since the first Covid-19 lockdown.

I will be joined by two incredibly special people. #TeamBennett consists of myself alongside my Mum (Ali) and my sister (Jess), both of whom have dedicated their fair share of time to The Liam Charity over the years.

I’m not someone who can physically add to the mile tally in a great number, so instead I have planned an 8-mile route, visiting locations that have a special place in my heart as a member of #TeamTLC.

- Glenthorne High School – where myself and Liam attended school.

- St Helier Open Space – where I met Aaron and started my journey with #TeamTLC.

- Aaron’s House – where hours have been spent preparing and planning with #TeamTLC.

- Carshalton Athletic Football Club – where we hosted the Special One Cups.

- All Saints’ Carshalton – where Liam’s funeral was held.

- Sutton Cemetery – where Liam is resting and where we will pay our respects.

All the money raised will go towards The Liam Charity Tribute Fund which raises money in aid of the NSPCC Childline Service, in memory of Liam Hearne, who sadly lost his life aged 14.
