During the 2022 FIFA World Cup, TLC: Talk, Listen, Change is asking for your help to tackle domestic abuse in the Northwest. Police received over 13 hundred reports of domestic abuse linked to the previous World Cup. Research has found that incidents increase by 24% when England win or draw in a World Cup game, and by 38% when they lose. TLC is one of few charities in the UK that works with people who harm as well as people who have been harmed to tackle the root cause of domestic violence. I am fundraising to help fund these vital services and help to put an end to football-related domestic abuse in the Northwest and beyond.
