Belfast City Marathon 2023 - Team True Light Relay Run

On Sunday 30th April the city hosts the Mash Direct Belfast City Marathon, Team Relay, and 8 Mile Walk. The 26.2-mile marathon route runs through all 4 areas of Belfast; North, South, East, and West, starting at Stormont Estate and finishing in Ormeau Park.



Team True Light

We have decided to relay-run to fundraise for True Light Ministries International. True Light Ministries International (TLMI) is a Christian charity that envisages eradicating poverty, give a better education for less fortunate children, raising Christian faith and ethos, etc.



Safiya

Working full-time, part-time student loves to run, won athletic events while I was in college., and was individual champion twice. Never done anything useful, so this marathon is looking forward to a purpose.



Berlin

working full time loves to do physical activities especially those that give benefits. This is my first marathon, really excited because it's for a good reason.



Merin

God gave arms to people so that they can crawl to the finish line if their legs give up in a marathon. I have no hopes of completing this marathon but I heard it's too late to pull my name back out (LOL).



As a cardiac Nurse I'm aware of the benefits of running and the purpose of my run is twofold, to encourage the prevention of lifestyle diseases and to endorse my church's activity...



My name is Merin .... And I'm an avid traveler and health enthusiast.



Kevin

I'm a simple man and the purpose of my run is to get attention from people. I've never won a race in my life, partly because I'm extremely obese. But something inside of me tells me that I will win this marathon, SINGLEHANDEDLY!!



I'm Kevin Antony and I major in Molecular Biology at Queen's University Belfast. I enjoy football and I hope I will have six-pack abs by the end of the marathon.

Crazy team, placed me to run the first leg - now that I have to somehow run. Preaching is part of my career, not running, decided to support and encourage this team, but they took me so seriously. Being a pastor, I love being with people.
