The Rockinghorse / TMBU Fund · 14 November 2013

Rockinghorse is a Brighton-based charity which has been supporting children for over 50 years. It was set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann to improve healthcare services for sick children and babies. The charity fundraises for items for every child's treatment, from toys to life-saving equipment.

Story

Rockinghorse is intrinsically linked to the Trevor Mann Baby Unit (TMBU) in Brighton as the charity's founder, Dr Trevor Mann, pioneered the special care department to ensure the very best care and on-going research for premature babies.

Rockinghorse continues to work closely with the TMBU and all money raised for the TMBU fund goes to support babies and their families looked after on the unit.

Parent Quote: “It was heart-breaking not being able to hold Woody for his first three months. I don’t think there is anything that can prepare parents for a premature birth, but having such good care eased our long journey considerably.” James and Charlotte, whose son Woody was born at only 24 weeks and weighed just 1lb 13oz.

Thank you for your support.
