TMFIT was due to celebrate it's 10 year anniversary by hosting a number of charity events throughout 2020 in support of Make-A-Wish foundation and to help fund some life-changing wishes for incredibly brave children.

We were very passionate about completing the ten different events we had planned but due to Covid we were only able to complete a few of them before the first lockdown.

Even so, with our members unbelievable help, we still managed to raise the £3,696 needed to help a lovely girl called Bethany get her wish to go to 'Give Kids the World' in Disneyland Florida.  Unfortunately, Bethany's wish has had to be postponed due to Covid but an alternative date or wish will be arranged.

The remainder of our fundraising has gone towards a Wish for a boy called Tai from Braintree to go to Lapland.  This has now been confirmed and re-booked for the 1st - 3rd December 2021.  We are thrilled about this and hope he has an amazing time!

Understanstibly, Covid has had a huge impact on the finances of the charity sector and given the economic outlook, this is not likely to be a short-term hit.  

It quickly became evident to Make-A-Wish that they needed to move at speed to ensure that as much money as possible continues to go to the children who are waiting for a wish, and to establish a smaller, restructured organisation to secure the charity's future. They have now completed this process and as a result they had to make 31 redundancies from a UK team of 80 employees.

Therefore they need our help more than ever and we will continue to support Make-A-Wish Foundation and press-on with organising new, covid-safe charity events. 

We would massively appreciate your help by joining us for an Online Circuit Class on Sunday 7th March at 09:30h.  All abilities welcome and we will make it fun and interactive!
