As a collective between BH Support and Frettens Solicitors, we are partnering to play a half marathon (36 holes) on the 15 September 2022 in order to raise awareness and donations to support Prostate Cancer UK. 

In the UK, 1 in 8 men are likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Shockingly, Black men have an increased chance of getting it in their lifetime and 1 in 4 men with black ethnicity will have prostate cancer. Around 47,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year and around 12,000 of those men sadly lose their lives. The disparity between races in getting prostate cancer is still unclear with leading researchers, which is why we are raising awareness and donations in order for the research to continue. 

Prostate cancer is rare for men under 40. The more you age, the likely hood of having prostate cancer increases substantially and doctors advise everyone over the age of 50 receives a referral from their GP, even if they have no symptoms.
