World Land Trust protects the world’s most biologically significant and threatened habitats acre by acre. Through a network of partner organisations around the world, WLT funds the creation of reserves and provides permanent protection for habitats and wildlife.

Story

It started on a whim - I just thought why not? I wasn't really planning to fundraise until someone stopped me and asked whether I was raising money for charity, and gave me all the change in his pocket. It was £1.10, but the gesture inspired me.

If you can spare a few pennies, WLT do great work saving real acres of critically threatened habitat.

I started the ride in Edinburgh and as I write this I am just passing through Halesworth in Suffolk, the hometown of World Land Trust.

I plan to cycle around mainland Britain during the spring/summer of 2013, with a couple of weeks' break in the middle of June. No particular route, mostly following the excellent Sustrans routes and trying to keep fairly close to the coast.
