My mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in her early-60s. It's a terrible disease that robbed her of the quiet retirement she deserved so much after working hard her whole life and raising my sister and me on her own, in Poole & Bournemouth. She's now in a specialist care home and the Alzheimer's is relentlessly progressing.

I'm running the 2023 Bournemouth Half Marathon for Alzheimer's Research UK in order to raise as much money as possible and help to ensure that other people might be spared this debilitating illness.
