White Collar Boxing Night, Brighton Metropole Hotel · 14 May 2016

Rockinghorse is a Brighton-based charity which has been supporting children for over 50 years. It was set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann to improve healthcare services for sick children and babies. The charity fundraises for items for every child's treatment, from toys to life-saving equipment.

Story

All this tarting around in the ring has a point, of course, other than to lose some weight; we're raising funds for the Rockinghorse Charity.  For those outside Brighton who aren't aware, Rockinghorse is the fundraising arm of the amazing Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital, providing funds for everything from toys to lifesaving equipment. Rockinghorse are one of the City's most high profile, active and innovative charities.

Natasha and I will forever be in the Royal Alex's debt as they almost certainly saved our Tommy's life in an awful hour of a dark December morning back in 2008, and I'm absolutely sure there are many other folks from Brighton, and way beyond, similarly affected by their efforts.

My respect for Rockinghorse is only heightened by the fact that their CEO, Ryan Heal, has put his own smooth and even features up for rearrangement by fighting on Saturday night himself.

This is a great way for me - and you - to doff a cap to their continued good work; please give generously, share this page, please make a small effort to get this out there and get your friends giving.
