Story
I've not had my hair cut since pre-covid, and I thought why not grow it long enough to donate it to The Little Princess Trust, and why I'm at it I might as well see if folk will sponsor me too.
Any monetary donations will go to Blood Cancer UK.
I'm going to be letting a bunch of (probably) inebriated Salesforce Administrators doing the cutting, and will hopefully get some extra cash from them too. The hair and the beard will all be cut off at the London Salesforce Administrator's community meet on the 18th Oct.
As well as donating hair to strengthen the gingers, I'm doing this in the memory of my beautiful nephew Liam, who suddenly passed in 2014, at only 20 years old. He died from a rare type of Leukemia, which wasn't diagnosed until after he passed away.
Blood Cancer UK are dedicated to beating blood cancer. They do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, they've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, their community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and their researchers are determined to finish the job.
