Toft's 2019 Challenge #2 - Cycle back from Derbyshire CC

Challenge #2 2019 - Cycle back from Derbyshire CC · 30 March 2019
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page on behalf of Toft Cricket Club.
2018 saw the historic Toft Cricket Club begin a mammoth fundraising journey, with the aim over the 10 years to be able to fund a new pavilion in time for our centenary year in 2027.
For those that don't know the club well, it is set in an idyllic part of Cheshire on the edge of Knutsford. Toft 1st XI currently play their cricket in the Cheshire Premier League and have a proud history having reached 2 National Village Knockout finals, winning in 1989. We have over 400 members aged between 18 and 90. There are three senior sides who play over the weekend and an over 40s team which meet on a Wednesday night. We also run nine junior teams and have a charity side called the Toft Taverners, who do a brilliant job of raising funds for the elderly people of Knutsford to take a big trip to the seaside each year. During the season over 150 juniors take part in training sessions on the outfield and facilities.
Throughout the last 91 years the main body of the pavilion has remained the same with various renovations taking place over time, however it is now very dated and in need of modernising. The club is a true family club and believe in promoting youth into the senior teams where possible. Many of the current senior team players have been at the club since a very young age, some since the age of 9/10.
Last year saw the guys run 23km (14.3m) from Old Trafford Cricket Ground back to Toft, raising a an incredible amount for the fund from a lot of very generous supporters.
This year we're taking it to the next level for round 2.
The guys will be cycling back from Derbyshire Cricket Ground on Saturday March 30th, a route taking in 100km (62m) to the south of the Peak District.
So please give what you can to help the future of this great club!
Any amount you can give is hugely appreciated and will inspire us to complete the cycle on the day.
