Story
Those of you who know me well will know that I
a) Hate running
b) Love dressing up and making a fool of myself
Being surrounded by a rather sickening number of overachievers every day with people doing various marathons, triathlons, iron mans and more I have a constant nagging feeling that I too should be doing something to raise money for a good cause... However I never have had the inclination nor physical ability to travel more than a couple of miles at speed by foot... So I was particularly excited when the Penguin Dash went up on the work bulletin board... Running not too far dressed as a penguin sounded right up my street, and having looked up the charity (which is a great cause, more info at http://www.richardhouse.org.uk/) I decided I have finally found the charity sporting event for me!
So if you're keen on seeing me looking rather foolish running around the streets of the City dressed as a penguin please give generously! I appreciate that I am not undertaking any life-changing feat but the charity really does deserve the money! The Richard's House Children's Hospice does great work supporting terminally ill children and their families and could not operate without donations so please give to the kids, every little helps!
Thank you so much for any donations, they are going to a very worthy cause!
