I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in aid of SSAFA with my girlfriend Iona who is raising money for Cancer Research UK. They are the Armed Forces charity providing wide ranging and invaluable support to serving personnel as well as veterans.

This is a particularly pertinent charity for me as I close in on my commissioning date. I am delighted to be joining the Welsh Guards. I have decided to make the challenge even tougher by running in body armour wearing 9kg and issued boots – I must be mad!

Any support you can give me, however small, would be much appreciated.
