Story

Hi Everyone,

My brother Tom and myself (Harry) are getting involved to raise much needed money for Burton Rugby Club. It has helped both Tom and myself so much and encouraged us to really enjoy our rugby but following a flooded winter and all the club's spring fundraising events cancelled the club are setting out to raise £26,000 in the next 26 days to keep supporting rugby in the community.

The club has links with South Africa running an exchange programme for young players to experience rugby and life in a different environment. Cape town is 12,658 km away - the club as a whole are looking to travel this distance by walking / running etc. But we wanted to help in our own way so we are going to try and complete the equivalent passes of a rugby ball (12,658) in the next 26 days! That equates to 250 passes for us both each day.

Burton Rugby Club is a great community club and encourages boys and girls from 4 - 18 and beyond to get active and enjoy rugby and each week helps around 500 young players and parents get out and active. Rugby encourages teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship in all.

Burton Rugby is a charity and all of the youth coaches are volunteers giving up their own time each week to help the children to train and play rugby, the club raises funds through events to cover costs of pitches, ground maintenance, club house etc. it is really important for the future of the club that we raise as much as we can. Thanks for you support.
