Story
Who knows what this year will hold but I thought setting myself the challenge of running a marathon (or more) each month would be a good place to start! As well as fundraising, this year long odyssey aims to keep undiscovered illness and disease, such as Leprosy, at the front of mind.
January - 26.2 miles in a blizzard!
February - 31.1 miles in sub-zero temperatures!
March - beautiful sunny run over the North Downs Way with over 1600ft of ascent
April - Goodwood Running Grand Prix 03:02:55, sunny but windy day and an actual race! Great event to be part of on the Goodwood Motor Circuit
May - A local 4 lap course with friends, 2000ft of ascent
June - An early morning Marathon around Fleet Pond
July - A local 4 lap course with over 2000ft of ascent
August - 2nd part of the weekend double-header - 4 lap flat course around Farnborough Airport to complete 2 marathons in 24 hours
September - The Farnham Pilgrim Marathon - an amazing route along the North Downs Way with some tough hills, finished 15th in 03:48, but the second half was hard work!
October - The Clarendon Marathon - 03:39 and 7th place, beautiful weather for most of the run and amazing scenary - tough hills!
November - tick!
