My sister, Katy Lancaster, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and received 6 months chromatography treatment at the Lilac Centre at St Helens Hospital in November 2019.  

The Lilac Centre is a chemotherapy / immunotherapy Day Unit that provides treatment to those battling with cancer. The staff were so friendly and compassionate, the above and beyond support they give had a massive impact in helping Katy deal with her diagnosis. 

The staff at the Centre have managed to deliver an excellent standard of care even during the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic at the start of 2020 and they have helped my sister and others normalise their lives whilst receiving chemotherapy treatment during one of the most taxing, stressful events of our generation.

Luckily my sister is now in remission, and now looks forward to enjoying the rest of her life with her husband and two young children. 

Since the beginning of 2021, I have been running 10 kilometers every day and as a thank you to the Centre I have decided to help raise £3650 to help the treatment of others who are placed in the same situation as her.

As of 10/04/21 I have ran 1000km by running 10km everyday and my goal is to continue this effort until I reach my goal of 3650km by the end of the year.
