Zip-Slide the Clyde! – with Spifox! · 16 June 2023 to 18 June 2023 ·

Spifox was launched in 1983 and, to date, has donated more than £7m from events including our flagship event in Edinburgh at Xmas which boasts the biggest sit-down lunch in the UK outside central London. We are proud to be a name synonymous within the Scottish property and construction industries.

Story

As you may know I am the Chairman of Spifox -the Scottish Property and Construction Industry charity.Spifox raise circa £400-500,000 annually -every penny of which is donated to very deserving and needy Children’s Charities throughout Scotland.Spifox has raised over £6m since its inception in 1983 and to celebrate its 40th anniversary this year we have set ourselves a target of raising over £500,000.Given the Covid pandemic and the cost of living crises -the charities that we endeavour to support are even more desperate for our help than they have ever been .

So as part of our fundraising goal we have arranged a 1000ft Zip Slide over the Clyde on 16,17 and 18th June .I am no lover of heights in any way -in fact they petrify me -but have been told as Chairman I need to suck it up,lead from the front and be first man down.

It would make it so much easier for me to conquer my fear if I know I am raising some money for the many charities and ultimately very disadvantaged children in Scotland that Spifox supports.
