I've always wanted to ride The Prudential Ride London and this year I thought why not ride the 160km course through London and Surrey with the wonderful people from Help for Heroes and raise some money for a fantastic cause at the same time. This is a charity that I am very passionate about as I have a number of friends in the military and have also sadly seen one of my friends and former colleague lose his life whilst on active service in Afghanistan. He was 21.

I have the upmost respect for our service personnel and the commitments and sacrifices they make to ensure our safety and I therefore want to do my bit to make sure those who put their lives on the line have access to the very best rehabilitation and support services.

Many of you will have heard of Help for Heroes and will know of the work that they do. I don't need to say it but their work really is fantastic. The road to recovery is often long, however Help for Heroes are there every step of the way supporting those who need it the most and helping them to regain their sense of purpose and confidence.

There are so many charities that do really excellent work, however I really would be grateful for any donations and for your support!
