After 1128 km and 91 hours of training spread over 98 runs, the big day finally came to run the London Marathon.
You always hear from people what an amazing experience running the London marathon is and I can't emphasize enough how right these people are.
It was a real honour to be part of it and more so to run on behalf of the Air Ambulance. I crossed the line in 3 hrs 16 mins and 15 seconds. I've never felt simultaneously so elated and worn out but every step was worth it.
Although I've now done my bit, the work of the Air Ambulance is never done, taking up to 4 call-outs every day each costing almost as much as my entire fundraising target.
Please help as much as you can in recognition of the pain I had to endure during the marathon but also, and more importantly, of the work that the members of the Air Ambulance crew do day-in day-out. I will continue to raise money for them until my target is achieved so all of your help and generosity would be much appreciated
