Story
Last year my son Benjamin very nearly died from acute heart failure resulting from a rare reaction to a common virus. He only survived thanks to the great work of the doctors and other staff at Harefield and Charing Cross hospitals.
Benjamin was also very lucky that Harefield happened to have the ITU space and specialist equipment available at that critical time. The reality is that we do not have enough of this equipment in the UK.
Harefield was founded in 1915, and is running a centenary appeal to raise £500,000. These funds will be used to expand and improve its ITU facilities. This will help more patients like Benjamin survive serious heart and lung illnesses.
I'd like to help them raise the money, and I'd like your help too.
Please make a donation.
Thanks!
