At Princess Alice Hospice, we provide exceptional end of life care in our hospice and in the community. We know we can’t prevent death, but we do whatever we possibly can to make it the best it possibly can be. But, above all, we believe that hospice care is for living.

Story

The Princess Alice Hospice is an amazing place. Their special staff and volunteers provide phenomenal love and care to a host of patients and their families focusing on free holistic and palliative care for patients with advanced illness and those approaching the end of their lives.

My dads cancer took over in the middle of 2011 and throughout his illness the hospice provided him with support at home by means of regular visits from our wonderful community nurse and support workers who made sure dad was comfortable and secure at home. They provided him with super massages to make sure he had treats when others would refuse to treat him as they were unsure of his medical condition. They were always there to answer endless numbers of questions from all of us and never once made us feel as though we were being a pain.

It is amazing that they are almost completely funded by donations so here is a breakdown of what your money will go towards http://www.pah.org.uk/who-we-are/income-and-expenditure.

Every penny counts

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Tom :)
