Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year I decided to take part in the Humber Bridge Half Marathon in memory of my late Grandma, who sadly lost her long battle with Alzheimer’s a number of years ago.

My Grandma was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in her late 50's, and consequently spent her twilight years battling this disease with the support of her loving family.

My aim is to raise vital funds for research into Alzheimer’s and Dementia treatment. Sadly, these diseases have impacted the lives of me and my family, and many of my friends and loved ones.

As part of this fundraising campaign, I designed an exclusive long sleeve running t-shirt that myself & some friends wore on the race-day of the Humber Half Marathon.

I have decided to donate 50% of all profits raised from this t-shirt release to Alzheimer's Research UK, to get the ball rolling with donations.

You can view & purchase one of the few remaining t-shirts here via the link below (£7 goes straight to charity):

Of course, If you would like to donate to this page without purchasing a t-shirt, please feel free; all donations are greatly appreciated.

In 2020, over 55 million people were recorded to be living with Alzheimer’s or Dementia and this number is set to reach 78 million by 2030.

Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK's leading dementia research charity, dedicated to causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure.
