After such a fantastic response to our popular Week on the Street Project, Active for Autism was launched. We are a unique charity based in Wales dedicated to improving the lives of children w/ Autism. We provide funding for early intervention therapy, specialist equipment & training for parents.

Story

So I’ve signed up for Ironman Lanzarote and Tenby with no triathlon/running/swimming experience whatsoever. I have 2 charity bike rides to my name in 2014 and 2019.

I know maybe I should have started small and build myself up to an event of such magnitude, and who knows maybe this will be my downfall on the day, but the charity was built on big ideas that so far are yet to let me down.

100% of the funds go towards things like private therapy, private diagnosis, specialist toys, specialist equipment, training for parents, iPads, play therapy, have recently paid for 1:1 specialist gymnastic sessions, bought specialist prams, helped towards an autism therapy dog, bought 20 trampolines in lockdown for sensory seeking autistic children. No one gets paid and no expenses are claimed - and they never will be.

I am very lucky to be sponsored by 4 amazing companies. Ultrabooth, The Digital Accessibility Centre, A&P Potatoes and Trojan Teamwear. They’ve paid for the extortionate entry fees, paid for my flights and helped with some supplements.

Thanks for donating and/or sharing!
