On the 20th May I am going to be part of a 10 strong group, cycling just under 500 miles from Millbrook Village Exeter to Gifford Lea in Tattenhall via all our villages - Bramshott Place in Liphook, Durrants Village in Faygate, Austin Heath in Warwick and Great Alne Park near Stratford - over 4.5 days.
Furthermore, residents, colleagues and friends are making up the distance to 1000 miles by joining sections of the journey or setting targets to achieve on static bikes.
Now the thing is, as anyone that knows me will realise, I don't usually do this kind of thing. Last time I got on a bike was many years ago in a lovely warm flat country. Since signing up I now realise that almost everyone else seems to be a triathlete or loves riding!
So I am going to buckle down to some serious training just to try and keep up... any donations to give me more of a reason to get this done will really help.
Our goal is to raise £20,000 for the Mental Wellbeing Charity - Mind - who many of you will know, and with Mental Wellbeing finally being talked about and addressed, I hope that this is a goal that we can hit.
Thank you... this could be an interesting ride!
