Event: Cross Channel Challenge - Get Busy Swimming, on 31 July 2022
On Sunday 31st July we will be attempting to swim the width of the English Channel which is 21 miles or 33,800 metres, in just 12 hours! We will swim laps of Colwick Park lake to raise money for a new hydrotherapy pool at The Get Busy Living Centre!

Story

Its 21 miles across the channel or 33,800 metres. Weve expertly(!) calculated that an average person would swim 50 metres in a minute or 3,000 metres per hour and so could complete the crossing in around 12 hours. We will begin our swim at 7am and aim to finish by 7pm and will be joined by Foundation ambassadors, beneficiaries, staff and supporters and wed love you to join us! All funds raised will go towards the hydrotherapy pool/extension (hence #getbusyswimming!) and it will be a great opportunity in a safe, supportive environment for those beneficiaries that want to get back in the water following their injuries to do so.
