We fund small business start ups in Lesotho to reduce financial hardship and poverty

Story

** Whether you know me as Tom, Ricco, Razza, Cheesecake, Snacker, the Barrel, James Corden, the Buddha, Shaun Murphy etc etc the list goes on, I haven't earned these nicknames over the years by being in peak physical shape so 24 hours of trekking up big hills probably isn't going to be easy so please help me reach my goal of £600 by giving what you can **

Myself and a few friends will be taking on the National 3 Peaks in 24 hours at the end of August. We are fundraising for a charity called C.H.E.F. (Catering, Hospitality & Education Foundation) -
founded by friends Tessa and Wayne that supports people in Lesotho.

Tessa and Wayne have been travelling to Lesotho since 2010 and over the years have learned a lot about the people and have done so much to help the people that they have met in an area plagued by unemployment, inequality, and poverty.

Tessa and Wayne have helped on various projects over the years including design an building a restaurant where all the profits and then reinvested locally to help the 'Basotho' people.

In 2020, they decided to create C.H.E.F which was due to go live at the end of the year, offering cookery classes here in the UK and running various events to raise funds, but with the current Covid-19 situation in Lesotho affecting so many and leaving many without work or with very little income, they have brought those plans forward to raise emergency funding to cover lost wages during these uncertain times.

In January 2021 C.H.E.F received official charity status and were able to help establish several businesses since. C.H.E.F’s second project is now off the ground, delivering much needed food safety and hygiene training.
