Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.
We have decided to take on the challenge of running the Brighton Marathon and Sarah is also running the London Marathon on the 3rd October 2021. There will be many hours of us out pounding the streets and building up miles rain or shine. We have decided to combine our fundraising efforts and raise money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF). We have family on all sides which have been directly affected by heart conditions and have had first-hand experience with the help and support from the BHF, something we will be forever grateful for.
Tom’s dad and our grandad Michael suffered a heart attack which was truly shocking and like most, a completely surprise. The support, procedure and aftercare was second to none, something that they have thankfully fully recovered from. We are also running in memory of Tom’s uncle Stewart and our uncle Ian ❤️❤️.
For most people, if you haven’t either had personal or someone in your immediate family dealing with a heart condition you don’t have to look too far to know someone who has suffered and be aware of the life changing impact it can have on an individual.
The British Heart Foundation has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to fund raising support that the British Heart Foundation can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, so every pound helps so please give what you can. Thank you ❤️
