Greater Manchester Marathon 2012 · 29 April 2012 ·

East Cheshire Hospice provides essential care, support and compassion to local adults facing life limiting illnesses. We rely on fundraising to pay for over 80% of our daily costs, and so you can be sure your support will make a huge difference to our patients, their families and loved ones.

Story

I've had to pull out of my marathon due to being diagnosed with iliotibial band syndrome, which is indredibly frustrating after training for two months. I'm sorry to everyone who's already made a donation, but your money has gone to a fantastic cause. During the course of my training, the furthest distance I ran was 16 miles which I did in 2:07, and my fastest half marathon was 1:37. If you think these times are worthy of a donation please give generously.

East Cheshire Hospice looked after my mum, Janette, last year. The work they do is really incredible and if it weren't for them I might not have had the chance to see my mum before she died. I'd really appreciate any donation you can make.
