Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 20th May I'll be running the Bristol 10k for Tree Aid, the charity I've been working for for the last couple of months.

I know 10k isn't really that far, but when you're as physically unfit as me, this is a truly mammoth task.

Tree Aid is a cracking cause to support by the way. It's about helping communities in Africa's drylands to find practical solutions to poverty and hunger. Trees provide sources of food, produce that can be sold to generate income, and they make the soil fertile so that agriculture can happen in the most difficult circumstances. You may have heard a bit about the famine in the Horn of Africa last year and the food crisis in West Africa this year. Tree Aid provides long-term solutions to those types of situations. Climate change is causing more and more tragic situations in Africa and this work has never been more vital. We're not just tree huggers!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
