November Movember running challenge · 6 November 2020

Movember has built a global men’s health movement, funding over 1,300 projects, changing the way health services reach and support men. Movember is taking on 3 of the biggest issues facing men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide. Movember is for everyone, not just for men.

Story

Throughout the month of November I will be trying to run a kilometre for every even day of the month. 2km on the 2nd November, 4km on the 4th, 6km on the 6th etc etc up to 30km on the 30th November. It's a total target of 240km, with the last week involving four half marathons (or more) in eight days.

The weather will be foul and the days short but it's for a great cause. Movember aims to reduce the number of young men dying prematurely, by encouraging men to discuss their mental and physical health. If you can afford to donate the price of a drink that you currently can't buy in a pub, I would be extremely grateful. Any donation will help get me outside when the rain is sideways and the pavements are covered in ice.

Thank you!
