My gorgeous 7 month old daughter April recently visited the doctors with a nasty cough.  During this visit the doctor detected a heart murmur and referred us straight to Shrewsbury Hospital.  After tests and scans her X-Ray showed an enlarged heart and liver.  We were referred the next morning to Birmingham Childrens Hospital for an echocardiagram where our worst fears were confirmed.  April has a large VSD which is a hole between the 2 lower chambers of her heart.  Due to the size and location of the VSD open heart surgery will be within the next 3 months.  After trying to adjust to the reality of the last few days we were then contacted to say that April is being treated as priority and surgery will be within the next 2 weeks.

As soon as we walked though Birmingham Childrens Hospitals doors we were overwhelmed by the fund raising targets achieved.  It made us realise that if it wasnt for these people then my April might not be getting the help she needs so quickly and we might not be receiving the support and help like we are right now. 

We are waiting for a date for surgery so please please donate to help my daughter and other children.
