PIP Woodcraft Hiking Challenge · 22 February 2014 to 23 February 2014 ·

PiP works with adults with a learning disability to achieve their ambitions and live a life of their choice. We help people develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to live more independent, happy, healthy and fulfilled lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to view the team Tom and Danny Woodcraft Hiking Challenge page.  PIP is working closely Camden Woodcraft Folk to undertake this exciting hike across Hertfordshire.  Tom and Danny will be supported in their team by Elsie and Jamie from Camden Woodcraft Folk, and they will all be supporting me (Alastair) to complete this tough challenge.

PIP supports adults with a learning disability to achieve their potential and to live as independent a life as possible.  The students at PIP have been seeking an opportunity to help PIP fundraise for a long time and this challenge provides the students with a fantastic opportunity to fulfil their goal.  Our team are one of four PIP teams taking part in the challenge.  This is the first time that Tom and Danny have taken part in a challenge like this and they are really excited!

Danny ‘I’m excited to go on the walking trip, we have been practicing in the park

Tom ‘I’m hiking for PIP because we are a charity and need money. I’m looking forward to the trip

PIP really needs donations to survive and the students are really happy that they can contribute to PIP’s fundraising efforts.

This event is the culmination of some really committed training by our students and they are really looking forward to their overnight walk and camping trip.  Their training has comprised of training walks in the local area as well as education related to learning about the skills required to survive in the countryside.  The event will take place on the weekend of the 22 and 23 February.  Please dig deep and help support our students to make their unique fundraising challenge a success!
