In February 2017, I was diagnosed with HER2 breast cancer. But after surgery, chemotherapy and immune targeted therapy my journey took a positive step forward. 

Macmillan offered myself, my son Tom and close family their genuine, professional and unconditional support. We feel they were amazing throughout the whole process. Walking and being outdoors has also helped me massively throughout some very difficult times. 

It now seems fitting that on Saturday 24th July, four years on, we both will complete a 26 mile hike in the Peak District to raise money for Macmillan, which will help others who may require their unique and fabulous support.
