Hi, i'm tom and i will be completing a vEVERESTING challenge to raise money for the Mind charity. 

I think there's a real stigma behind mental health and sometimes it can be hard to deal with things on your own, especially in times like these. No one should have to live with problems or thoughts by themselves. The biggest cause of death for men under the age of 35 is suicide. No matter how big or small, the aim for Mind is to support and empower people to understand their condition.  Enabling them to live with their mental health problems. 

So on the 28th April, i will be climbing Alpe Du Zwift 8 and 1/2 times (total of 8,848 metres) on my indoor trainer which is equivalent to climbing Mount Everest. I will be starting at 7am and continuing until it's finished  (approx 10-12 hours).  Trainer resistance will be set at 100% and the ride will be completed in one session. This certainly will be a mentally challenging task, but one in which i will relish.
