Story

After losing my best mate Tim Pike last year I've been thinking about what I can do to help raise awareness for CALM and their work against suicide.

On July 27th this year I'll set off from Lands End on my way to John O'Groats. I'll be riding roughly 100miles a day for 9 consecutive days. (I'll do some updates with route details and preparations closer to the date). I'll be doing this by myself and although I like riding bikes, this is way more than I've ever taken on before!

Your support will be massively appreciated and will push me on to complete the challenge.

Thanks

Tom.

Here's a little more about CALM:

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to change this by offering life saving services, provoking conversation and bringing people together to reject living miserably. From advice on our site, through to free, confidential chats with our helpline staff, online or on the phone, we’re here for whoever needs us, every day. No matter what. £8 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.

About the charity

We’re the Campaign Against Living Miserably and we’re taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling hopeless, standing up to stereotypes and showing life is always worth living.125 lives are lost every week to suicide. 75% of all UK suicides are male. We exist to change this.
