My brother in law Tommy was always very good to me. He would help me maintain my garden,repair storm damage and cutting timber just to name a few. He would do this out of goodness of his heart and his only payment was a cup of coffee. That was Tommy always there to lend a hand, generous and very kind.

Sadly on the 15th January 2021 our world was turned upside down,Tommy a healthy 54 year old retired soldier was taken away from us in the blink of an eye. He suffered from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome, and this hit our family  like a train, taken from us without warning or a sign, it still feels it was a horrible nightmare. I have been thinking for the last number of months how could I give something back to Tommy in his memory.

I decided to climb Croagh Patrick on the 17th September 2022 and ask people to sponsor me. All money raised will be going  to The Irish Heart Foundation for research in Tommys memory. 

Just to give a brief back round about myself, This task is no easy undertaking for me personally as I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and had a hip replacement last year and as a result I have limited mobility. I’m doing this challenge climb as a way to honour Tommy and his legacy he has left with us.
