We change lives and spread kindness to create a better world

Story

In Leeds on July 2nd/3rd 2022 I'll be taking part in Heineken's Endure24 event as part of a group of 8 (2 teams of 4) that will be running 5 mile laps as a relay from midday Saturday all the way through to midday Sunday. Whilst doing this we are hoping to raise funds and increase awareness for the charity 52 Lives. So anything you would be able to donate no matter how big or small would be really appreciated, and go towards a great cause.

About 52 Lives - Every week, they choose someone in need of help and use their vast network of kind supporters to spread the word, offer help if they can, and change that person’s life.Kindness and the power of people are at the heart of this fantastic cause, and 100% of donations go to the people they are helping.

Our Challenge - On 2nd and 3rd July 2022, we are taking on the Endure24 challenge – a team relay run around Bramham Park in Leeds. Each team member will take it in turns to complete an 8km (5 mile) lap and this will continue for a whole 24 hours! It promises to be epic, brutal and relentless according to the website.

Reassuringly, they’ve also used the word ‘fun’ somewhere. In the spirit of friendly competition, we have created two Fortem teams (north and south) to battle it out and see who can complete the most laps. It’s southern IT geeks vs northern IT geeks, with a sprinkling of Health & Safety and Procurement to add to the excitement. With regional pride and bragging rights at stake, who will come out on top?
