2019 Cardiff Half Marathon · 6 October 2019 ·
UPDATE: Last October I ran the Cardiff Half Marathon and now I’m going one step further with a full Marathon! On Sunday 19th April, I’ll be running the Brighton Marathon and hope to raise even more money for this amazing charity!

WHY I’M RUNNING: On the 9th December 2016, my niece Francesca became very ill and was rushed to Birmingham Children's Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
Over the subsequent 6 weeks, my sister and her partner were fortunate enough to stay in the Ronald McDonald House Birmingham, just over the road from the hospital.
Instead of travelling up to 1 hour each way they were able to stay in one of 66 small serviced apartment, completely free of charge.
Whilst Francesca made a good recovery, we knew she would need to return to hospital to repair a hole in her heart. In August 2018, she was admitted for surgery and again Ronald McDonald House Birmingham provided accommodation for nearly 2 weeks.
