The Tommo F1 50K Subscriber Special - in support of Headway

TommoF1 50K Subscriber Special - in support of Headway · 3 June 2020
Well, here we are. 50,000 subscribers on the Tommo F1 YouTube channel. It's been an incredibly fast rise, and I can't thank you all enough.
To mark the occasion, I wanted to do something special. I wanted to do more than just a thank you video and a stream. I wanted to work out a way to give back. Firstly, the idea was to give back to those who support me. So I made a 50K enamel pin. Got 100 made, selling 95 or so. £15 a pop with free worldwide delivery. If you're interested, link to buy is below.

When I put the word out to my subscribers a month or so back that I wanted to do something, I had a few people mention that I should use it as an opportunity to give to charity. So that's exactly what we're doing.
There's a lot of causes to support, and I've picked one that's very close to my heart. Brain injuries can be fatal, and have twice taken the lives of close family members way before their time. On the 24th February 2014, my cousin lost her life at the age of 40. Then, on the 10th November 2019, so did my dad. Both had completely unprovoked, fatal, brain haemorrhages.
Brain injuries do not discriminate. Old, young, black, white, male, female, gay, straight - nobody is immune to this. Whether it's an accidental trip and fall, or a dormant aneurysm that ruptures, the consequences can be far ranging. Anywhere from mild fatigue, to death.
Headway supports those who have survived their brain injuries, and are attempting to return to a "normal" way of life. Their work does truly incredible things for those effected, and their families. We couldn't save my cousin, or my dad, but we can raise money to help support and return a degree of normality to those who made it through with their life.
This is the cause I've chosen to support, and I hope you can find it in the kindness of yourself, to give a little, to help a lot. Thank you.
